Neste corredor \u00e9 conhecida uma maior densidade de grutas de origem fre\u00e1tica do que no restante do Maci\u00e7o Calc\u00e1rio Estremenho (MCE), onde se pensa existir um corredor de paleocircula\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1guas subterr\u00e2neas. escarpas vigorosas a ocidente, e a oriente \u00e9 uma vertente meridional que desce mais progressivamente at\u00e9 ao bordo sul do maci\u00e7o.<\/span><\/div><\/div><div><div style=\"letter-spacing: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; caret-color: #000000; color: #000000; font-family: Questrial; font-size: 14px; text-align: justify; white-space: pre-line; line-height: 0.5;\" Os calc\u00e1rios s\u00e3o atravessados pela falha Casais da Mureta<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u2013<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Cov\u00e3o do Feto, que forma um arco de dire\u00e7\u00e3o grosseira SW-NE e por uma s\u00e9rie de falhas subparalelas a esta, que ter\u00e3o influenciado a forma\u00e7\u00e3o deste corredor. Este n\u00edvel est\u00e1 materializado por uma s\u00e9rie de grutas de origem fre\u00e1tica que, como foi acima referido, abundam no corredor. margin: 0px; padding: 0px; caret-color: #000000; color: #000000; font-family: Questrial; font-size: 14px; text-align: justify; white-space: pre-line;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">A cavidade desenvolve-se na forma\u00e7\u00e3o de Calc\u00e1rios Biocl\u00e1sticos do Coda\u00e7al, datada do Batoniano (Jur\u00e1ssico M\u00e9dio). Trata-se de umas das forma\u00e7\u00f5es definidas por Crispim, (1995), como uma das forma\u00e7\u00f5es c\u00e1rsicas por excel\u00eancia. Aparenta haver um controlo estrutural da gruta por uma descontinuidade de atitude aproximada N60-70E\/Vertical.<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-2a2ad25 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"2a2ad25\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"aux-parallax-section elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-3290d8f\" data-id=\"3290d8f\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4e8c879 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4e8c879\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div style=\"letter-spacing: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; caret-color: #000000; color: #000000; font-family: Questrial; text-align: justify; white-space: pre-line;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">A morfologia original da gruta foi muita alterada pelos abatimentos e concre\u00e7\u00f5es, mas esta continua a ter uma morfologia semelhante a um coletor. Na proximidade da gruta existem tro\u00e7os de um antigo coletor, nos algares do Marradinhas II e Z\u00e9 de Braga, cujas cotas das galerias s\u00e3o pr\u00f3ximas da cota da sala do Algar das Couves. Os dois factos atr\u00e1s enunciados indicam que a sala do Algar das Couves poder\u00e1 provavelmente ser um outro tro\u00e7o do mesmo coletor f\u00f3ssil j\u00e1 conhecido naquela \u00e1rea. O coletor desenvolveu-se na zona fre\u00e1tica segundo a defini\u00e7\u00e3o de B\u00f6gli, 1980, tendo posteriormente migrado para a zona vadosa inativa por uma descida relativa do n\u00edvel de \u00e1gua. O po\u00e7o de entrada ter\u00e1 origem posterior, possivelmente pela infiltra\u00e7\u00e3o da \u00e1gua atrav\u00e9s de fraturas e corros\u00e3o do tecto da gruta.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-dc4fa97 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"dc4fa97\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div style=\"letter-spacing: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; caret-color: #000000; color: #000000; font-family: Questrial; text-align: justify; white-space: pre-line;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">A gruta encontra-se fortemente concrecionada, sendo abundantes as estalactites, estalagmites, bandeiras, colunas e mantos estalagm\u00edticos, todas de uma brancura intensa respons\u00e1vel pela beleza atribu\u00edda \u00e0 gruta. Os espessos dep\u00f3sitos de argila que se encontram no ponto mais profundo da sala s\u00e3o tamb\u00e9m consistentes com um cen\u00e1rio de uma massa de \u00e1gua estagnada durante um per\u00edodo de tempo longo que permitisse a decanta\u00e7\u00e3o da argila.<\/span><\/div><\/div><div style=\"letter-spacing: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; caret-color: #000000; color: #000000; font-family: Questrial; font-size: 14px; text-align: justify; white-space: pre-line; line-height: 0.5;\" data-line-height=\"0.5\">\u00a0<\/div><div style=\"letter-spacing: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; caret-color: #000000; color: #000000; font-family: Questrial; font-size: 14px; text-align: justify; white-space: pre-line;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">A superf\u00edcie do lago teria de se manter constante durante um per\u00edodo de tempo significativo para permitir que o material org\u00e2nico aderisse \u00e0s concre\u00e7\u00f5es e fosse ele pr\u00f3prio coberto por concre\u00e7\u00e3o. Dada a posi\u00e7\u00e3o elevada do n\u00edvel de material org\u00e2nico, o volume do lago teria que ocupar a maior parte da sala. Levanta-se a quest\u00e3o do que foi feito da \u00e1gua do lago. Este apresenta dire\u00e7\u00e3o aproximada SW-NE, o controlo estrutura do mesmo aparenta ser feito por uma fratura vertical com orienta\u00e7\u00e3o similar \u00e0 do coletor.<\/span><\/div><\/div><div style=\"letter-spacing: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; caret-color: #000000; color: #000000; font-family: Questrial; font-size: 14px; text-align: justify; white-space: pre-line; line-height: 0.5;\" data-line-height=\"0.5\">\u00a0<\/div><div style=\"letter-spacing: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; caret-color: #000000; color: #000000; font-family: Questrial; font-size: 14px; text-align: justify; white-space: pre-line;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Trata-se provavelmente do mesmo coletor f\u00f3ssil que \u00e9 conhecido nas grutas pr\u00f3ximas do Algar do Marradinhas II e do Algar do Z\u00e9 de Braga.
